Our Story

Hello! We are the Hall family (David, Rachael, and Andrew), and this is our story of how we are growing our family through adoption !

My wife and I have been married for twelve years. We both grew up in godly Christian homes attending church on Sundays with our families, and we both made life-changing decisions to follow Christ at an early age. Years later, while attending the same church in Central Florida, we met, fell in love, and were married! Faith and family mean everything to us!

Early on in our relationship, we knew we wanted to one day become parents, but as time passed, it became more and more clear to us that it wasn’t going to happen naturally. Through much prayer and seeking His will, God began to place in our hearts an ever growing desire to grow our family through adoption. We know that God builds families in many ways – adoption being one of them!

So, in 2015, Rachael and I began our adoption journey! It wasn’t an easy road to travel. There were many tears along the way, and lots of time spent on our knees. But we were not alone, and we had a number of wonderful people in our lives praying for us and supporting us along the way!

Three years later, we were standing in a hospital delivery room witnessing the birth of our son! I was given the privilege of cutting his cord, while Rachael was the first person to hold him! Just three months after that, appearing before a judge along with all of our family, his adoption was finalized, and he was forever our son, Andrew Hall!

The last two and a half years with Andrew has been AMAZING! He brings such joy into our lives, and we can’t imagine life without him! And for everyone who supported us through that time – our family, friends, coworkers, church members, and even individuals we had never met – we are eternally grateful and immeasurably blessed!

But we know our family is not yet complete, and we feel like there’s room to adopt one more!

Since moving to Jacksonville in 2019, we’ve been doing our best to save our money and praying about when and how we might bring another child into our home. Last year, even in the midst of COVID, we decided it was time to begin the adoption process again! We contacted our agency – the same agency with our first adoption – to get the ball rolling with the intention to adopt domestically (typically, in state) an infant boy or girl!
